Ignite Talk

Dot Inc. is a tech startup dedicated to closing the information gap for people with visual impairments.
Access to everyday information—text, time, and visual content like graphs—has long been limited by bulky braille books and expensive devices. Dot reimagined the braille cell to make it lighter, more affordable, and scalable. This led to the Dot Watch, the world’s first braille smartwatch, allowing users to read time and notifications through touch. Dot also developed the Dot Pad, a tactile display that converts digital visuals into real-time touch, expanding access in education and communication.
Beyond devices, Dot brings accessibility into public spaces through inclusive kiosks. By combining advanced technology with human-centered design, Dot is building a world where information is truly accessible to all.
