Tips

Transportation
1. Getting to our venue from Incheon International Airport (ICN)
Community House Masil is located in central Seoul (Myeong-dong area), with easy access by public transportation and taxi.
Take the AREX Airport Railroad for a fast and convenient journey from Incheon International Airport to Seoul Station. You can choose between the Express Train (non-stop to Seoul Station, 43mins) or the All Stop Train (58mins) depending on your schedule and arrival point. Tickets will be available at airport counters, self-service machines, or online. From Seoul Station, it’s easy to continue your journey by metro(Line 4), bus, or taxi to reach our venue.
Airport limousine buses are a comfortable option, especially if you’re traveling with luggage. Tickets can be purchased with international credit cards at the airport ticket offices or self-service kiosks. While most limousine buses also accept direct credit card tagging upon boarding, we recommend purchasing a ticket in advance at the airport for a smoother experience. For our venue, bus routes 6015, 6001, and 6002 are the most convenient. They all stop at Myeong-dong Station, which is within walking distance of Community House Masil. (Please check the specific stop for each route as they may vary slightly).
Travel time
approx. 60–90 minutes (depending on traffic)
Fare
17,000 KRW
Taxis offer a direct and convenient way to reach Seoul from the airport. Fares are calculated by meter based on time and distance, with tolls added for expressways. Credit cards and cash are accepted, please note that tipping is not customary in South Korea.
For the most reliable pickups, Kakao T is the most widely used ride-hailing service in Korea, while k.ride ↗ is also available for international visitors as it supports foreign credit cards and multiple languages. Please note that Kakao T generally offers faster dispatch times than k.ride.
Estimated fare
KRW 60,000 - 80,000 to central Seoul
Toll Fee
KRW 3,200 - 6,600
2. Getting Around Seoul
T-money cards are rechargeable transportation cards that can be used for metros, buses, and taxis throughout South Korea. You can purchase a card for approximately 3,000 to 5,000 KRW (depending on the design) at convenience stores or T-money vending machines inside metro stations. While the card itself can often be bought with a credit card, please note that topping up the balance usually requires cash (KRW). To ensure a smooth journey, we recommend carrying some Korean Won to recharge your card at convenience stores or ticket machines in any metro station.

Navigation

For navigating the city, we recommend downloading Naver Map or KakaoMap apps, the go-to navigation tools in South Korea. Both are highly accurate, English-supported, and far more reliable than Google Maps for public transit, walking, and driving within the country.

Internet
SIM cards and eSIMs are easy to purchase at the airport or in the city, and free Wi-Fi is widely available in cafés and public spaces. Still, we suggest arranging mobile data in advance to make getting around and staying connected as smooth as possible.

Visa
Visa requirements vary depending on your country of origin, so we recommend checking in advance whether you need a visa to enter South Korea. If your application requires an invitation letter from us, please contact us at nextlibraryseoul@see-art.org, we will send you a letter to confirm your participation.
